The Y12-F is a new generation twin turboprop 19 seater, multi-role aircraft developed by Harbin General Aviation Industry (HGAI) with full assembly in the Republic of Brunei.

An important footnote from its safety records, the Y12-F is by far the ONLY Chinese design aircraft CERTIFIED by USA-FAA, Type Certificate FAR Part 23 in 2016, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, EASA Type Certificate CS 23 in July 2023

The Y12-F is a new generation, mid size multi-role turboprop aircraft to replace most current operators aircraft of this category, of the likes of:- Twin Otter, Dornier 228, LAT-410 & M28.

All these aircraft are already reaching their end of life of 30 years and need to be replaced by new generation aircraft like the Y12-F. 

Unfortunately there are not many new generation aircraft in the market, where the Y12-F is still the best in terms of performance and price.
